Live Day Trading – 1 Trade, $1,253 Earnings, 3 Minutes

If you watch my other live trade video clips, you understand that the past couple of early mornings have been extremely slow for me. The charm of trading is every day is a brand-new day, so you never know what the marketplace will provide you with. In this case, the marketplace handed me a supply set up that is genuinely among my faves to trade.

Come join me for a real-time session where I talk more about trading, the marketplaces and also all the money that can be made. Declare a seat right here:

is there a video that you have made that is sort of an introduction video to trading?

    1. ClayTrader

@Elliot Parker Hi Elliot, I offer multiple trading courses here: http://claytrader.com/training/ The introductory one for learning charts is Robotic Trading: http://claytrader.com/courses/robotic-trading/

How did you find this stock and how did you decide it’s what you wanted to try to profit off of? Omer is up 81% right now.

  4. Harrodskate13

Hey again Clay, great video! I just wanted to ask how many trades do you typically lose as a percentage? And do the losses gradually decrease as your account grows as you have more capital to play with?

    All the best!

    1. ClayTrader

@Harrodskate13 While I don’t have any percentages, I will say I win way more than I lose, but my losers are bigger than my winners… sounds bad, but again, I win way more often than I lose. To get a better idea of this, you can check out this blog article I did: http://claytrader.com/blog/how-i-ruined-my-month/

I have no idea what just happened, but it was cool

    1. ClayTrader

+chrisR97 haha… I thought the stock would go down, it did, therefore I made money.

    2. Kevin R

He sold a bunch of shares that he didn’t have which means he sold short. Then the price went down so he bought the shares to cover his short position. His profit is the price he sold at minus the price he bought at minus any trading fees.

Excuse me, sir. I really do not understand your strategy. You seem to short only gap ups with an up trend. You obviously loose money much faster than making it. You aggressively scale your position with a great amount of risk. Do you always make money like this? To me it looks that you are luckier more than a chartist. At what point do you get out of your position when is going against you? I have seen your trade go to $2,000 risk to make around $1300. Could you please explain that to me, please?

In a huge gap up the one thing you can count on is that people will see how high they are and take profit….Thus, driving the price down. This has nothing to do with luck. It’s understanding human behavior and how it effects a stock price.

hi Claytrader, I like watching these live trades of you even though I have no idea what you’re doing. You were clicking ”Inside Ask” and then ”Sell”, but aren’t you supposed to buy at Inside Ask prices instead of sell? After all, ”Inside Ask” is the price that a stock is being offered at (by the market), or am I totally wrong on this one?

    1. ClayTrader

+lilatangled I am “shorting”, which just means I make money when prices fall in price.

    2. bearoundme

+ClayTrader hi, thanks for ur reply! Does that mean u will sell stocks first , and then buy?

    3. ClayTrader

+lilatangled What you just said is exactly “what” shorting “is”.

    4. bearoundme

      +ClayTrader cheers!

3 minutes and you can pretty much call it a day, someone would probably call it a week even 😛

    1. ClayTrader

True, but to be fair, it’s not like this happens every day or anything like that. Sure, trades like this can happen, but by no means is it like an every day occurrence.

    2. Beloved Lover

Yeah, and on the contrary, you can have similar down swings, but I guess that’s what trading comes down to, try to be consistent and don’t let big swings affect your trading.

I hope to get back to trading after I save up for bigger account, tried it with 5k, but I had too much distractions in life back then so couldn’t really do it for long. At least got the feeling from it that it’s something I want to really try again with 100% focus. Looking now to get 20k account, get rid of the small debt I have after Uni and save up some cash to sustain myself for few months and strengthen my small’ish investing portoflio little bit for the rainy days.

Trade without emotion. Interesting. Seems like great advice the more I think about it

    1. ClayTrader

It’s the only way to trade.

  13. William T

What software/platform are you using? And what are your fees/commissions?

  14. Jonathan Zapata

do you offer a slow motion version of these live trades.. like down to every detail of exactly what you’re doing..?

    1. ClayTrader

By understanding “charts” and trading as a whole, what you see on the screen naturally slows down. That’s what I teach here – https://claytrader.com/courses/

  15. Roman .D

Nice trade! I love trading gaps, they create emotion and you can use that with the volatility to increase your edge.

  16. Trent Smith

Hi, I was wondering what the trading platform you use is called. Thanks.

  17. John Willis

Hey there thanks for the videos! I have one suggestion. Either a highlight around the cursor or more explanation of when you’re buying and selling.

As a viewer and newer investor, I find it hard to follow everything you’re doing in the video in real time, especially while keeping up with the mouse.

    Thanks again!

    1. ClayTrader

Thanks for the feedback. In regards to “more explanation”, I do that in great detail here https://claytrader.com/courses/

  18. Maxwell Smart_086

Thank you for the video, Clay. You´re the real Bull Warrior Stock trader. Happy days for you and your family. And if you are a good guy, you´ll do some charity like Tim Sykes. Have fun.

    1. ClayTrader

How do you know I don’t already do charity? Perhaps I just don’t turn it into a whole marketing stunt?

  19. jack mic

Hi, thanks for the video. Please, write me what platform are you using in this video?
